Why you should buy Destiny.

Players have combined a total of more than 100 millions hours of play since the launch of the game. That is a lot, enough to be on level with the play time of the industrial leaders 'Call of Duty'. This statistic was revealed by Activision.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor :A Review

Buy Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor

Talion, a former ranger of Gonder is killed alongside his family by the evil armies of Sauron. That should be the end of it, but this game says otherwise because out main character who is Talion is revived by a Elven wraith who is also the maker of the Rings of Power. Now the interesting thing is that both have one goal,'Revenge'.

The game has pretty awesome and enticing animations, killing those ugly servants of Sauron with your sword feels great, you also have a choice of going stealth or full out attack. Something like Assassins Creed: Black Flag where you either go stealth or if one of the soldiers ring the alarm bell, then you will have hordes of enemies behind you. The same principle applies here, except its much more easier to get caught. Of course, getting overwhelmed mean the chances of you getting killed increases but that's what leveling up is for, right?

Another aspect of the game I noticed is that even the captains can cheat death and come back to lay their vengeance upon you, of course they may have a scarred face or something. And just like in the movies, they're very confident of victory. If that Uruk captain kills you, then the next time he meets you, not only will he have something to show for it(maybe a promotion or some new armor) but also he taunts you for losing last time and wonders why you have not died yet. That is a totally new thing for me as I have never experienced such a thing before.

The minute things added to the already exciting gameplay  makes the game even more fun and intricate. It brings on a new sense of gameplay into the action, role playing genre. The stabbing animations make the game fun to play and allow you to ease up a bit. The other thing, Monolith introduced into the gameplay is the nemesis system which pretty self-explanatory also ups the ante of the game. Sometimes, the captains will be invulnerable to your sword or arrows which makes it tougher to kill them but in the end, they die. Every victory and every loss matter and the game makes sure that you understand that from the beginning.

As you go deeper into the game, you get control these freaked up minions and make them fight each other. For some reason this reminds so much of those darts in Assassins Creed: Black Flag. Of course you can't control them though in that game. There is a great combat experience along with awesome sound design and mind-controls is just the fantastic aspect of the game. Oh and I forgot to mention, but you also encounter Gollum, so that's fun.

Middleearth: Shadow of Mordor Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor
Fight through Mordor and uncover the truth of the spirit that compels you, discover the origins of the Rings of Power, build your legend and ultimately confront the evil of Sauron in this new chronicle of Middle–earth.

You also get to interrupt Uruks when they are have duels of just feasting and having fun, its near impossible to win every fight which makes the game much more interesting. They rarely tell the same taunt over and over again, which makes your fights much more memorable By the end of the game, you will wish it had never ended. This game is sure to make millions.

The events take place between the 'The Hobbit'  and 'The Lord of The Rings' written by J.R.R Tolkien , both the books which I love. This game was developed by Monolith Productions and published by Warner Bros. I am sure this is a game you will love and adore.

Why you should buy Destiny.

Much has been expected from the game which has been developed by Bungie( Makers of Halo) and produced by Activision( Makers of Call of Duty). Some say that its not has good they had expected but others say something else. The game has of the present has quite a few bad aspects in the gameplay. People are complaining about repetitive mission design and its weak story. But there are others who love the multiplayer competitiveness and its intricate and fascinating maps. The views are jaw-dropping but that only covers up for the repetitive missions and encounters.

Players have combined a total of  more than 100 millions hours of play since the launch  of the game. That is a lot, enough to be on level with the play time of the industrial leaders 'Call of Duty'. This statistic was revealed by Activision.

Not only that but also Destiny has made around $500 million by selling to first parties and retailers and more than $325 million from individual customer purchases. This tells us that even if, Destiny had a bad start at launch, it will develop into the leader of the generation because so much money means lots of developing.

To make it simpler to understand, here is comparison of the pros and cons of  Destiny.
(And Random stats)

My Rating: 7/10                                         Potential Rating: 9/10

I suggest that you buy the game, but if you want, wait it out a bit.

Will Minecraft help Microsoft or will Microsoft help Minecraft.

A few days back Microsoft agreed to pay 2.5 billion dollars for Mojang  and the Minecraft franchise . That is a lot of money. People are wondering about two things, the first,'Will Minecraft change under Microsoft ?' and the second,' Why did Microsoft buy Minecraft ?' I will cover both those topics here.

So the first question:

Will Minecraft change under Microsoft ?

Yes, it will. But not necessarily for the better. I seriously doubt that Microsoft will want to keep that kind of game play for long. Graphics will be improved, like a lot better. But most people play the game because of its simplicity. Its like the holiday world of serious, hardcore gaming.Depending on trends and the way Microsoft handles Minecraft, it may be a good descision or not. Its too early to decide.

There are 4 modes in this game: Multiplayer, Survival, Creative and Adventure. If you think about it, all those 4 modes describe Microsoft's future with Minecraft. Let me explain.

1)Multiplayer

People will react to changes, sometimes they have a positive feedback to it or sometimes not. How Microsoft develops  Minecraft will decide whether people will still want to play the game or not.

2) Survival

I feel its going to be tough for Microsoft to survive the first few years with Minecraft, its going to depend on whether they change Minecraft as soon as they get it or not not.

3)Creative and Adventure

I am pairing these two together because they compliment each other. To explain in one sentence:
If Microsoft is going to change the game, they have to be creative, and if they are creative then that means going on an adventure, which could end badly or not.

54 million copies of Minecraft have been sold worldwide, a huge amount no doubt and currently the game is at its peak, but the question remains whether Microsoft can extend that peak?

Now moving on to the second question:

Why did Microsoft buy Minecraft ?

"Microsoft expects the acquisition to be break-even in FY15 on a GAAP basis."

Overhead transmission? No problem, let me explain.

To tell it in 4 words, ' Full profit, no loss '.

What the above statement tells us is that Microsoft plans to equal out the amount they spent on buying Minecraft. No, not equaling out the 2.5 billion but more like 25 million as explained by Michael Patcher in a talk at Games Beat 2014. When Microsoft keeps 2.5  billion dollars in the bank, it generates an interest of 25 million. So what they mean by equaling out is making enough sales to meet the 25 million mark.

Now another reason why they bought Minecraft is because of the boost it will provide to their PC and Xbox divisions. Usually its the small kids who want to  play minecraft. When Minecraft was released on Xbox, the adult gamers who didn't have an Xbox did not go out and buy one just to play the game. But the young ones are another matter entirely. By acquiring Minecraft, Microsoft has assured its place in the future of gaming.  Kids  will start playing on Xbox has it will have some advantages over the other platforms( Excluding Microsoft Windows) has its owner also owns Minecraft. Now lets say that Minecraft dies out maybe after a decade or so. True, that Minecraft loss will bring some losses to Microsoft. But it will not harm Xbox sales because not many people like changing their consoles.

So from this we can gather why Microsoft bought Minecraft.

Top 5 Games to look out for in the near future.

We all love gaming. And  this year has games which have us gamers in  7th heaven. Games like Fifa 15 and Far Cry 4 are being released this year and gamers cannot wait to get their hands on these games. Although a majority of games have already been released , but with an approximate of around 120 games yet to be released this year, there are some really exciting games out there. Here are some of the ones I have been waiting for a long long time.

1. Fifa 15

Video :Ea Sports - Fifa 15(http://www.easports.com/fifa)

Release Date: 23 September 2014 in North America, September 25 in Europe and September 26 in the United Kingdom.

Consoles: PlayStation 3PlayStation 4PlayStation VitaXbox OneXbox 360PC(Microsoft Windows)IOS and Android.

This game is freaking awesome. So many changes have been brought into this series(Fifa) but Fifa 15 caps it all. Lionel Messi is still the main global cover star, but that doesn't matter much because the new gameplay features are really good.

Some of these feature include:( From EA Website)

Dynamic Match Presentation

No more listening to same old commentary over and over again.  While Martin Tyler and Alan Smith/Clive Tyldesley and Andy Townsend retain their commentators position , they speak about fan reactions, while chants and behaviors will be relevant to country or even your club. New bench reactions, side line character animations.

Authentic Player Visuals

The Next Generation football player is here. Player faces are much more realistic. The Football jersey moves realistically and changes with the environment, becoming dirty with mud and grass as the matches reveal.

There are so  many other features to look out for, authentic stadiums, next gen GKs. This going to be the game changer in the fifa series.

2.Assassin's Creed Unity

Release Date:November and December 2014

Consoles: Microsoft WindowsPlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Bad luck ps3 and Xbox users, looks like you will have to buy ps4 or Xbox one if you want to play this awesome yet- to- be released game.

This time we get to play with 4 characters(so cool), though there is a main character called Arno. Heard of the hidden blade, right! Well its been upgraded to be used like an crossbow, Navigation mechanics has changed and the biggest feature ever is the multiplayer co-operative which allows us to join our friends in missions and help them out.

The story has been set in Paris on the eve of the French Revolution with Arno as the main character.

Oh and yeah, no more synchronization, if your target detects you he's going to run and you better catch him !

3. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

Release Date: November 4, 2014

Consoles: PCPlayStation 3PlayStation 4Xbox 360 and Xbox One

For some reason I didn't like the title much, I mean Modern Warfare and Ghost excited me when I saw the titles. But as soon as I read Advanced warfare's plot, well that just changed my mind about the game.

The general gun-play remains unchanged, apart from new mechanics, for example, certain guns will be able to recharge slowly, allowing the player to take cover and stay there for a certain period of time to gain ammo for the weapon

The Plot:
In 2054, a terrorist organization known as the KVA initiates the first global terrorist attack in history by simultaneously destroying the nuclear reactors of developed countries around the globe, including the United States. Across five continents, many countries' military and government infrastructure including electricity and technology were devastated and incapable of fighting the threat posed by the KVA. As the result, private military corporations (PMCs) have become the dominant armed forces for countless nations and represent the first line of defense against this new enemy. Jack Mitchell (Troy Baker), a former U.S. Marine who lost his left arm during the battle of Seoul, joins Atlas Corporation, the world's most powerful private military company with the most advanced technologies on the planet. Executing clandestine operations across the globe for the highest bidder, Jonathan Irons , the CEO and founder of Atlas, begins his war over the ineffectiveness from the United States as the promoter of democracy all over the world to change the global balance of power

Exciting, isn't it? Lets just hope that it lives up to its expectations.

4. Far Cry 4

Release DateNorth America and Europe on November 18, 2014,  Australia on November 20.

Consoles: PlayStation 3PlayStation 4Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC
"Ajay Ghale,  who returns to his home country to scatter his mother's ashes. Once there, he becomes caught up in a civil war as the people struggle under the despotic regime of self-appointed king Pagan Min . "

Definetly no chance of being on top of my list, but its still quite a good game But using a vast array of weapons, vehicles and animals, players will write their own story across an exotic open-world landscape. Which is quite cool when you think about it.

5. World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor

Release Date: November 13, 2014

Consoles: Microsoft WindowsOS X

One of the best mmorpgs in the world. The expansion is set after the events of Mists of Pandaria and takes place in an alternate universe on the world of Draenor, the original home world of the orcs

The Graphics are I think a little better than last time I think. Of course this is just an expansion raising the existing level cap from 90 to 100 and will introduce player-built, upgrade able garrisons.
